Castle Farm, Kent

Our family business is a mix of agricultural, horticultural and retail enterprises, in its fourth generation. The farm extends to 450 hectares in the Darent Valley, Kent, between the villages of Shoreham and Eynsford.

Traditional arable cropping and beef finishing operations are integrated with horticultural crops including pumpkins, apples, hops and lavender. We continue to actively develop diversification opportunities, chosen to use our and our staff skills and which integrate well across our working farm.

Visitors are welcomed throughout the year to our farm shop at Castle Farm selling products grown in our fields alongside other food and gifts - sourced locally if feasible.

We also share the colourful lavender fields during high summer by providing events in the flowering fields, including educational Guided Tours, relaxing Picnic Events and Field Walk opportunities. In September we again welcome visitors to our small orchard 'Pick Your Own' heritage apple variety. All ages come to enjoy the experience of picking fruit straight from the tree!

The demand for unspoilt countryside and dramatic colourful landscapes has also seen the farm diversify into filming and location hire, welcoming creative production agencies looking to find suitable backdrops for editorials, fashion shoots, movies or commercial productions.

Our farm diversity is unique, but at the heart of what we do is the stewardship for the land and its longevity for future generations. We work hard at ensuring a sustainable balance of food production and environmental conservation.
